Woodland is a thriving community of proud people with kind hearts. It is situated along the beautiful Lewis River, a pristine stream fed by Mount St. Helens and surrounding valleys, and adjacent to Interstate 5 at Exit 21. Woodland is the “Southern Gateway to Mount St. Helens,” providing visitors excellent options for lodging, restaurants and service accommodations. Enjoy the varied activities available in the city and along the Lewis River Road (SR-503) the southern access route along the Lewis River Valley and to Mount St. Helens.
Depending on the season, Woodland, the Lewis River Valley and its nearby communities will provide visitors many enjoyable activities. Fish the North Fork of the Lewis River for prize salmon and steelhead. Golf at the Lewis River Golf Course. Bike, sightsee or enjoy the colorful tulip fields.
Woodland and the Lewis River Valley offer much to those who live there or just come to visit. Woodland is home of the famous Hulda Klager Lilac Garden and the annual celebration of The Lilac Festival. From the last week of April through the first week of May, the Klager Museum is open for public access.
