The Stagecoach is coming!
What was it like to ride a stagecoach in Cowlitz County 150 years ago? Come to the museum tonight, June 28 at 7:00 to learn about the general history, science and technology of stagecoaches. Rob Lewis, instructor Oregon College of Art and Craft, an accomplished carriage maker, wheelwright and blacksmith will make an illustrated presentation about stagecoaches. Joining him is Karen Johnson, historian from Lewis County who will talk about the Territorial Express Stagecoach Run planned to take place September 21-23 beginning in Longview. A half-scale stagecoach will be on display at the museum during this program.
