CATLIN CEMETERY 2 acre historical cemetery and natural area located between Longview and KelsoCOAL CREEK BOAT LAUNCH 2 acre Boat Launch with concrete single lane ramp on Coal Creek Slough leading to the Columbia River, parking and undeveloped areas. COUGAR WAYSIDE Managed as a wayside in cooperation with the Cougar Store and the State of Washington, Department of Transportation - includes picnic tables, benches and a fantastic bronze Cougar statue by world class sculptor/artist, Bill Bane. Donated by Ken and Eunice Teeter. COUNTY LINE PARK 5.5 acre day use and overnight park on the Columbia River - includes 1 restroom building, ample parking, electrical hook-ups, picnic sites, fishing platform, trails and open space, 20 unit campground with great fishing.
HOFFSTADT BLUFFS VISITOR CENTER 30 acre site with an attractive and spacious visitor building, which includes restaurant, gift shops, meeting rooms, panoramic viewpoints, helicopter rides, trails, overlooks, picnicking parking, restrooms and displays of the volcanic eruption of Mount St. Helens. FINN HALL WAYSIDE 4 acre wayside with picnic area and open space managed as a cultural and historic area near Woodland on SR-503. HOG ISLAND ACCESS 10 acre day use park with primitive boat launch and wayside - includes fishing access to the Cowlitz River, parking and undeveloped areas. RIVERSIDE PARK 58 acre day use area and regional park on the Cowlitz River - includes complex of 3 youth baseball fields, 2 soccer fields, 4 restroom buildings, roads, trails and walking pathways, playground equipment, tennis and basketball courts, open space, picnic shelters and tables. SRS VIEWPOINT 5 acre day use tourist viewpoint of sediment retention dam, gift shop and snacks, interpretive center, restrooms, trails and concessions. WILLOW GROVE PARK 60 acre regional beach park on the Columbia River for day use - includes 2 restroom buildings, playground equipment, beach access, picnic shelters and tables, trails. Paved parking areas and roadways. City of Woodland Parks:
Horseshoe Lake Park This 6.5 acre park is located on the north bank of Horseshoe Lake. Horseshoe Lake Park is the largest developed city park in Woodland. It used quite often for community events, including Planter's Days and the Easter Egg Hunt. Hoffman Memorial Plaza is adjacent to the park. Facilities include a covered picnic area which is available for rent, a gazebo, a covered "cloggers" pad, open lawn for field games, a playground, a beach, restrooms, a parking lot, and a boat launch. Horseshoe Lake is open for swimming (no lifeguard on duty), fishing, boating, and water skiing. See the Woodland Municipal Code Chapter 9.20 for Water Safety Regulations and Restrictions Hoffmann Park This .75 acre park is located in the 700 block of Park Street, next door to library, and across the street from the Woodland High School. Hoffmann Park contains the Woodland Community Center, playground equipment, landscaping, and open play areas. The Community Center is available for rent. Kenneth Bjur Memorial Park This small park which offers a grassy area and playground equipment is located in the residential district, on the northeast side of Woodland, at the intersection of Spruce and Madrona Avenues. Eagle Park Eagle Park is Woodland's newest park, it opened in May of 2002 and offers playground equipment, picnic tables, and benches. The Park is located at 1844 Willow Street, within the River Bend Estates Subdivision. City of Castle Rock Parks: - Memory Lane Volunteer Park – located at the end of Michner Street, near the Riverfront Trail. includes playground equipment, covered picnic area and a area to plant trees in memory of a loved one.
- Coldwater Park – located behind City Hall building – playground equipment, picnic table.
- Lion’s Pride Park – located 1400 block of Huntington Avenue South. Serves as the trailhead to the Riverfront Trail. Amenities include covered picnic areas including small barbecue units, restroom facility, and RV dump station.
- Riverfront Trail – Trailhead is located at Lions Pride Park, however there are several other barrier free access points. Trail amenities include viewing areas, benches, picnic tables, ADA accessible. Trail areas are located on both sides of the Cowlitz River. On the east side of the river is a 1.5 mile lighted, paved multi-use trail extending from Lion’s Pride Park north to just past the PH10 bridge. On the west side of the Cowlitz River the trail is constructed of compacted gravel, from the PH10 bridge to the mouth of Whittle Creek and a 1100’ paved path from PH10 bridge to the Castle Rock Sports Complex. The City of Castle Rock received the Association of Washington Cities 2004 Municipal Achievement Gold Medal Award in recognition of the Riverfront Trail Project.
- The Rock Community Park – located at intersection of Front Avenue SW/Huntington Avenue South, just off of the Riverfront Trail. This is a large rocky outcropping which is the city’s namesake. A historic marker is located at the foot of the rock. Includes hiking trails and picnic tables. Bountiful ecosystem including native trees and vegetation. Not handicapped accessible.
- Skate Park – limited to skateboard and roller blade users. Located near the west end of Third Avenue SW, off of the Riverfront Trail.
- BMX Park – limited to bicycles and trail bicycles. Located at the west end of Warren Street SW, off of the Riverfront Trail.
Privately-owned parks: Lion’s Club Volunteer Park – located at the intersection of Front Avenue NW/Huntington Avenue North. Includes covered picnic area and flower garden. Maintained by the Castle Rock Lion’s Club members.
